Water Street Baptist Church was first organized as a mission of First Baptist Church of Waxahachie in April 1945. The Water Street Baptist mission received permission to become independent and, on October 3, 1954, was established as a self-supporting church with 165 charter members.
Water Street Baptist church cooperates in missions and ministry support with the churches of the Ellis Baptist Association, the Baptist General Convention of Texas, and the Southern Baptist Convention. Our core beliefs align with the Baptist Faith and Message.
